GO Rent a Car is a booking and referral website. We receive booking requests and route them to independent car rental companies. We are not the rental supplier, do not own or provide the vehicles, and are not a party to the vehicle rental contract. The rental company that accepts your request supplies the vehicle and sets its rental terms. We do not collect rental payment. The website operator remains responsible for its own data protection and other duties under applicable law.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The operator of gorentacar.me (“we”, “us”) decides how booking-request data is collected and used on this website. We are not the rental provider. When we route a request to an independent rental company, that company may process the information for its own rental decision and contract under its own legal responsibilities and privacy information. 2. What we collect
We only collect what is needed to handle a booking request.

We do not collect payment-card details, create customer accounts, use advertising or analytics trackers, or send marketing emails. Please do not put sensitive information (health, passport or card numbers) into the booking form or your emails.
3. Why we use it and on what basis
- To handle your request — receive it, send you a copy, forward it to rental companies, and contact you (necessary to take the steps you ask for).
- To keep the website secure and working — logs and abuse prevention (our legitimate interest).
- To meet legal obligations — for example record-keeping or responding to lawful requests.
- To answer your questions — when you email us.
4. Who we share it with
- Car rental companies. We send the details of your request to rental companies that may be able to provide the vehicle, so they can check availability and contact you. The website operator remains responsible for its own collection, storage and forwarding of personal data. The rental company may separately process your details for its rental decision and contract under its own legal responsibilities and privacy notice; ask the provider identified in its communication for that notice.
- Service providers. Our web hosting and email delivery providers process data on our behalf so the website and our emails work.
- Authorities where we are legally required to do so.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Transfers abroad
Rental companies and our service providers may be located, or may process data, outside your country of residence. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
6. How long we keep it
We keep booking requests for as long as needed to handle the request and any related rental communication or dispute, and generally no longer than 24 months after the requested rental date, unless the law requires a longer period. Server logs are kept for a short period.
7. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or give you a copy in a portable format, and you can withdraw any consent you gave. Email team@gorentacar.me from the address you used for your request; we will reply within a reasonable time and in line with the law. You may also complain to the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information of Montenegro or, if you live in the EU/EEA, to your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies and external services
The website uses only the browser storage it needs to work and does not use advertising or analytics cookies. To display the page, your browser loads fonts, icons, a date-picker library, styling code and a header photo from third-party servers, which can see your IP address and browser details when you load the page. 9. Children and young people
The booking service is intended for adults arranging a rental; children cannot submit a booking request or act as the main driver. A parent or legal guardian may arrange a trip and provide only the information needed to request a child seat or booster. Please do not enter a child’s name, contact details, identity documents, precise birth date, health information or other personal details in booking notes. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal data. If you believe a child’s personal data was sent to us, contact team@gorentacar.me so we can review and, where appropriate and legally permitted, delete it. A rental company may have separate legal duties and privacy terms.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no online system is completely secure.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
